What’s better than a candy bar? A candy bar inside a cookie!
Lots of Twix in the fridge + 1 hour to bake and shoot + calorie guilt = these fairly healthy, super quick candy bar cookies 😀
Remember these cookies? They were a runaway hit with my family and my Dad insisted he hadn’t had enough, so I sent off a box of these to my parents this morning 🙂 Late night and early morning. Great times to bake, apparently!
The recipe is exactly the same as the original, except I used one and a half Twix bars instead of chocolate chips. Try M&Ms, Gems, Snickers, Mars, whatever your favourite candy is. Really can’t go wrong. Remember not to stuff your cookie dough too much though, the cookies will fall apart. Especially because this particular dough is more crumbly than liquid-y.
The great thing with Twix is the melty caramel inside that oozes out as the cookies bake. Mmmm. I was afraid the cookies might get too sweet, but they’re perfect.
These cookies are eggless, mixer-less and delightfully quick to throw together. I also got the chance to use the delicious homemade honey that Amelie got us. Look at that cute jar!
Drop what you’re doing, dig out some candy from your fridge and make these. So worth it 🙂 Chewy, soft and (almost) HEALTHY. Go bake!
